Generac Grid Services runs a program for Sask Power called “Smart EV Rewards”, which is a plug-and-play EV charge profiling and load shifting program designed to help utilities better understand EV load on grid and shift charging to more desirable times for their grid. They needed a fast and effective way to issue digital rewards to customers based on enrollment and other behaviors they took in their program.

Snipp helped GGS integrate our Rewards API into their infrastructure so that members could automatically get their PayPal credit ranging in value from $10 to $25 monthly ($10 to $325 annually). The program will run over a 3 year period with up to 400 participants sharing their Vehicle types, Charging types, and Geographic locations. - Participants will be split into 3 different groups. Group 1 is the control group which will be monitored only. Groups 2 and 3 will be offered behavioral modification incentives, with Group 2 offered additional off peak charging incentives and Group 3 offed On-Peak avoidance incentives. The data from the program will be used to evaluate and determine the impact of varying incentive levels on charging locations and times.
