Unilever, Walgreens Give March (Madness) Samples

Unilever tapped in to the March Madness season by activating its National Collegiate Athletic Association sponsorship at Walgreens for the sixth straight year.

Among the activity were a March 11 circular feature and co-op FSI that promoted three offers tied to the purchase of eligible Axe, Dove, Degree, Suave and Vaseline products. In addition to a “buy one, get one half off” incentive, Balance Rewards members who purchase $15 in eligible product from March 1-31 receive 3,000 reward points. 

Additionally, anyone making the $15 purchase can receive a sample box valued at $20 by submitting their receipt via text message, email or on a Unilever promotional site by April 14. Snipp Interactive handles.

The feature and the FSI — which dropped the same day the pairings for the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament were announced — both carried the official Final Four logo.

In stores, dedicated power wings stock eligible items. The display uses the same “Improve Your Game Every Day” tagline as the feature and FSI and also carries the Final Four logo, additionally promoting the Balance Rewards offer.
