Reejiya Rajan - Senior QA Engineer, Cork

Reejiya joined Snipp in 2015 as a developer, drawn by her love for building things that work. When the QA team needed support, she stepped in - and what began as a temporary shift soon became her true space to grow. Over the years, she’s become a core part of the team, helping strengthen processes, improve quality, and bring a builder’s mindset to everything she touches.

“I love writing code and seeing the result - it feels good to build something and see it work.”

With experience on both sides of engineering, Reejiya bridges the gap between development and testing - connecting people, refining systems, and ensuring that what’s built stands strong.

A Journey Across Continents 

Originally from Kerala, India, Reejiya moved to Cork a few years ago with her husband - a shift that brought both new surroundings and a familiar sense of calm.

“It’s peaceful here, like my hometown. I really like that.”

The transition from one lush, green landscape to another felt natural. While the setting changed, the quiet simplicity and warmth of community reminded her of home. Whether in Kerala or Cork, she’s found comfort in places that reflect her own steady, grounded nature.

Music, Memories & Milestones 

Outside of work, Reejiya turns to music. She enjoys listening across genres and languages, often drawn to the melody itself.

Her path to becoming an engineer was clear early on.

“Since second grade, I knew I wanted to be an engineer. My cousins and I all studied at the same college - it was a dream, and I stuck with it.”

Words to Live By 

The best advice Reejiya ever received came from her father - simple, steady, and something she’s carried throughout her journey:

“Do what you like - and stick with it.”

It’s a philosophy that has guided her through every decision, from choosing engineering as a child to embracing new roles and challenges at Snipp.

And when asked what advice she’d give her younger self, her answer reflects the same clarity and self-assurance:

“Nothing. I made my own decisions, and even the wrong ones taught me something. I’m happy with that.”

Each step - right or wrong - has shaped the professional and person she is today: thoughtful, consistent, and content with the path she’s built herself.
