Eddie Tavares – Project Manager, USA

Riding waves, managing projects, and always showing up

Life beyond the laptop

When the workday ends, Eddie Tavares is rarely sitting still. Whether he's catching waves, playing sports, traveling, or volunteering in his community, he enjoys anything that gets him moving and connecting with people.

“Surfing is probably my favorite way to unplug because it forces you to be present, enjoy nature, and forget about everything else.”

He also volunteers at a local food pantry and with a dog rescue, where he's fostered three amazing dogs. And thanks to his Snipp teammates, he's discovered a new spectator sport.

“I never thought I'd become a cricket fan, but here we are.”

His one pet peeve? People who don't return their shopping carts.

Keeping projects on course

As a Project Manager at Snipp, Eddie partners with leading CPG brands to guide promotional campaigns from kickoff through launch. He works across cross-functional teams to keep projects moving while ensuring clients have a great experience every step of the way.

Before joining the project management world, Eddie built a career in hospitality, entertainment, and event production, roles that all had one thing in common: people.

“Every role I've had has been about working with people. That experience prepared me more than I realized.”

Connecting the dots

For Eddie, the best part of the job is collaboration.

“I like connecting the dots. There's a lot that happens behind the scenes to bring an idea to life.”

Seeing a campaign launch is rewarding, but there's an even better moment.

“It's pretty cool when I'm out and about and see something I helped bring to consumers.”

Always learning

Eddie joined Snipp as a Client Manager and has grown into his current role as Project Manager. Along the way, he's embraced every opportunity to learn.

“I've always been a little sponge. I love learning from the people around me.”

For him, Snipp's culture stands out because people are always willing to share their knowledge while encouraging others to grow.

More than a project manager

Something many colleagues don't know is that Eddie has performed as an actor on stage, television, and in film.

“Acting challenged me in a completely different way, but the communication, adaptability, and collaboration skills have been surprisingly useful in project management.”

Whether he's managing a production or a promotion, the fundamentals aren't all that different.

Showing up matters

Professionally, Eddie is proud to have earned the trust to lead complex, high-visibility client programs. Personally, though, a different achievement means even more.

“The best compliment I've ever received is hearing people say, 'You always show up.'”

For Eddie, being dependable is something worth striving for, both at work and in life.

Growing outside your comfort zone

Stepping into a Project Manager role without a traditional PM background wasn't easy. Instead of pretending to have all the answers, Eddie leaned into curiosity.

“I asked a lot of questions, learned from my teammates, and treated every project as an opportunity to improve.”

That experience reinforced an important lesson.

“Growth comes from being willing to learn, adapt, make mistakes, and keep moving forward.”

Words to live by

If he could give advice to his younger self, it would be simple.

“Trust the process. You don't have to have everything figured out. Some of the best opportunities come from paths you never planned to take.”

The best advice he's ever received has become a guiding principle.

“Control what you can control.”

Whether he's managing a client launch, paddling out for the next wave, or stepping onto a stage, it's a mindset that keeps him focused on what matters most.
