Valencia Pereira brings more than 30 years of experience in accounting and book management to Snipp. While she modestly says she does not have specialized skills, she believes hard work and a willingness to learn have always carried her forward.
“What I lack in knowledge, I make up for with hard work and eagerness to learn,” she says.
Joining Snipp in 2015 introduced Valencia to a completely new world of IT and paperless offices. After years in more traditional accounting environments, the transition was a big one, but also exciting.
“Each day at Snipp has given me an opportunity to learn something new, and I am still learning,” she says.
Valencia’s role extends far beyond accounting. Along with managing the Mumbai office and handling compliance activities in India, she also supports HR whenever needed. On top of that, she manages Accounts Receivable for Snipp, from vendor registrations and invoicing clients to what she jokingly calls her favorite responsibility, “chasing clients for payments!”
Once the workday ends, Valencia happily shifts into home mode. She loves cooking and can spend hours experimenting with new recipes and dishes in the kitchen.
Her passion for travel has taken her across India and to countries including Dubai, Malaysia, Thailand, Azerbaijan, and several destinations across Europe. Exploring new places and cultures is something she truly enjoys.
When she is not travelling or cooking, Valencia enjoys crocheting and is always searching for new crochet patterns to try. Home life revolves around her husband of 31 years, her two children, and Cooper, the family’s much-loved Golden Retriever.
“Yes, 31 years, to the same man,” she jokes.
One philosophy has guided Valencia throughout her journey: embracing change creates opportunities for growth. From adapting to new technologies to taking on entirely new responsibilities, that mindset continues to shape her career and outlook on life.
“Change is evident, and embracing change can help us grow,” she says. “That has helped me embrace new opportunities and progress in life.”
