Hello, March! With a new month comes a new issue of Shopper Marketing Magazine. In this one, we are featured for our work with the Heineken Holiday Gift xChange. This was a holiday campaign that Heineken executed for their products in Walmart stores across the United States.
Targeted at millennial males, the campaign offered a ‘digital twist’ to the holiday classic gift swap game of ‘White Elephant’, or ‘Yankee Swap’, or whatever you want to call it. Consumers could participate from any device, in a fun and simple way to stay connected to their friends during such a busy season.
Powered by our SnippCheck receipt processing technology, those who purchased a case of Heineken beer at a Walmart store could text, email or upload images of their receipt to receive a unique game link. Upon inviting friends to join, players could open and swap virtual gifts and ultimately were rewarded with Heineken swag, digital gift cards, and for one lucky winner, a trip to the Heineken brewery in Amsterdam.
