Dr Pepper Reopens ‘Pepper Prize Shop’ at Circle K

Circle K is staging an account-specific overlay to Dr Pepper Snapple Group’s national “Pick Your Pepper” campaign spotlighting unique, limited edition designs on the manufacturer’s Dr Pepper bottles.

From July 5 through Aug. 31, Circle K shoppers can earn “Pepper Prize” points redeemable for “Pepper Prize Shop” rewards including a 20-ounce Dr Pepper (four points), a $10 store gift card (23 points), $15 in Fandango “summer movie” cash and a $100 Visa gift card (100 points). Participants earn one point (up to six daily) by purchasing a 20-ounce Dr Pepper SKU and scanning a barcode found within Circle K’s mobile application. 

In stores, cooler clings spotlight the promotion with a “snag sweet swag” message. A mobile app ad and July 5 update posted across Circle K’s regional Facebook pages support.

Dr Pepper’s national promotion dangles a T-shirt depicting one of the new designs with purchase of three Dr Pepper 20-ounce, 12-ounce, 12-pack or 8-pack SKUs. Shoppers redeem the offer from June 15 through Aug. 15 by submitting a picture of their SKUs’ universal product codes and the word “DrPepper” to a designated number via text message. 

The overlay at Circle K reactivates the “Pepper Prize Shop” the retailer and brand introduced earlier this year with ride-hailing giant Uber. The promotion also is very similar to an ongoing “Dew Inner Circle” program Circle K rolled out with PepsiCo in March.
