Applegreen is Ireland’s largest independent forecourt retailer with over 100 sites trading in the Republic of Ireland and United Kingdom. To reward their customers for purchase and encourage them to engage more in the food offering in store, they wanted to develop a customer loyalty program to provide rewards that drive repeat purchase, and to become more customer centric by understanding their customers needs.
SnippLoyalty developed a comprehensive full-service loyalty solution, developed and implemented with Applegreen. The program went live in 73 sites and contains programme management, analytics, campaign management and a reward shop.
The scheme saw a massive take-up with approx. 200.000 participants and contributed to a sharp revenue surge in contrast to the downward trend in the sector, and was a multiple industry award winner in 2013. In particular, the program won the “Best New Loyalty Program” for 2013 from The Loyalty Awards.
