P&G wanted to create a refreshed rebate experience for consumers. Driving sales, earning in-store display & growing average basket size were salient objectives for the brand. Snipp created a mobile-optimized rebate experience for P&G, where consumers can earn their choice of a PayPal or Virtual Visa cash reward by purchasing eligible P&G products at participating retailers. To earn their rebate, consumers simply submit their receipt by texting the shortcode “PGSpruceUP” to 811-811, emailing it to firstname.lastname@example.org, or web upload by accessing https://pgspringspruceup.com/PG/Default.aspx; the choice between PayPal or Virtual Visa is up to them and can be selected upon redemption. P&G leveraged the platform for media tie-ins to their “Spring Spruce Up” theme, including videos helping consumers water their plants by “hacking” leftover Tide bottles.
The program will run from March 21, 2018 through June 30, 2018.
